Pogo and me

My name is Monique. I’m born in Amsterdam, on the 21 th of april 1966. I live with my boyfriend and our 2 cats, Tico and Joris. I love animals very much, because they give unconditional love. I am a real sensitive person. The pictures on the left show me and my Apaloosa pony Pogo. We enjoy our rides together in free nature.

You also find my cats Tico (male) and Joris (female) in the pictures. They were 13 weeks of age. And my late cats Grijssie and Bassie. Even though they have passed away, I still have contact with them.

I always had the feeling that animals understood me well and they feel what I feel (and vice versa). I am very good in sensing animal needs, how they feel and how they are doing emotionally.

I am a highly sensitive person. This means that I strongly feel the emotions and feelings of animals (and persons). Also physical things I can feel of animals, I feel it in my own body. Because I have this quality, it is easy for me to feel and experience what an animal experiences. This happens automatically with me, even if I don't want it to happen, still I feel the feelings and emotions of an animal. I have a strong emphatic ability, I can emphatize very well with an animal (and persons). Animals feel that I am highly sensitive, this helps to open up the animal for the contact with me. And vice versa.

A few years ago I got interested in animal communication. I did an education, which was very nice. At the beginning, it felt strange and the communicating wasn’t easy.

I have learned to shut down from everything around me and only concentrate on the animal. That way, the animal is the only thing on my mind. So the continuing human thoughts like "I have to do the groceries, tomorrow I have to work at that time" and so on, are totally banned out. I just stop to clear my head, and then I am ready to start giving and receiving information.

I have practiced a few years. I’ve learned how to open my mind, to receive information from an animal more clearly. After a while, it went better and better and easier. I was using my intuition more clearly. I got so enthusiastic that it tasted like more and more. So the past years I talked with a lot of animals, also animals that didn’t want to make contact!

Especially because of the "difficult" cases, I got more and more experienced. I learned to use my creativity with animals whom are not open, don't want to talk and don't easy show what they feel. This makes talking to animals even more interesting. It’s a great challenge to successfully make contact and trying to help the animal and the owner.
