A very anxious cat
I have been invited to the home of an owner of several dogs and cats to talk to her animals. She has 4 dogs and 6 cats, and asked me to talk to them. 1 of her cats is very anxious, even with the owner herself. At the time I made contact, all 6 cats were sitting (freely) around me. I made contact with the anxious cat. This cat told me that he doesn't like having to share his home with so many other cats. He wants to have all the attention for himself. His owner cannot give him the attention he needs. Most of the time, the 4 dogs claim all of her attention. At this moment, even this anxious cat is sitting close to me. I get closer to him and he stays put. He even lets me touch him. The owner was stunned! She asked me: “How is this possible?”
This cat is so anxious, that even she can't touch him…. But I can…. This anxious cat even enjoys my touch. He is so very happy about me contacting him, and paying lots of attention to him, that he starts purring. This cat normally never purrs. This experience was very special for all three of us.
My own cat, Grijssie, now passed away
My cat had reached the age of 19 years. When he lived, I asked him why he came into my life. He told me that it was his task to be my resting-place and that he taught me how to take care of an animal. When I took him into my home, I was young and had no experience. I was always busy. Every day when I got home, my cat always came to sit with me on the couch, so I could rest. My cat has done his task very well for 19 years. I am still very thankful for that and I still miss him like crazy. Although I still feel him around me, as my old, wise assistant. He himself reported to me that his kidneys were not working very well anymore. I went to see the vet, and with medication and good food, my cat has been given a few years longer. So it was very good that he told me about his kidney problem!

Often I comfort animals by making contact with them, because I’m not physical present, which makes them feel save. They feel and know that I open my heart to them and will never hurt them. They know I seek contact to help them and their owners.
I hope that after reading these examples, you’ll get an idea of what you can expect from a consultation. If you have a "difficult" case, or “a challenge”, as I would call it, don't hesitate to make an appointment!
Difficult cases are very interesting and they stimulate me to refine my communicating skills and techniques.
It also stimulates me being creative in finding solutions to try to get positive changes.
